After taking a break from this treatment in 2020, I’m bringing Hot Stones back for 2021!
If you’ve never had a hot stones massage before, it’s definitely a treatment you need to try out. Not only is it incredibly relaxing, but the heat from the stones gets deep into the muscles and helps them to release.
What is a Hot Stone Massage?
A Hot Stone massage involves the use of beautifully smooth, heated volcanic basalt stones. The heat gains deeper access to the muscles and draws out muscular aches allowing both relaxation and recovery. Originating from ancient Native America, this therapy has been used as a way of healing and balance for years, it also gives an intense feeling of recovery. It’s deeply relaxing, comforting and feels absolutely amazing.
My background in UK Sports Massage allows me to offer a firm take on this relaxing massage that will target key muscles in your body. Done at a pressure that suits you, this massage is perfect for easing pain from old injuries. A firm massage with heated stones allows your body to let go of tension it’s holding in a specific area.
A common misconception is that this massage is for relaxation only – this is definitely not true as all massage styles can be done at a pressure to suit you! Using a combination of placement stones and and movement, you can get just as much if not more out of this massage then any other.
Where is this treatment offered?
I offer this treatment fully mobile in the comfort of your home or holiday accommodation, plus I now work in all areas from Thonon Les Bains, to Abondance, to Samoens and of course everything in between. I will arrive to you with all the equipment I need to give you the perfect massage. My stones are heated in water meaning at your accommodation this massage takes 15 minutes to prepare.
