Les Gets is renowned for being a Mountain Bike Mecca. It sits within the Portes du Soleil and has arguably some of the best tracks in the world. It is a hub for both professional athletes and bikers who simply love the sport. I refer to it as a Mecca as it really is a BIG reason people love and visit Les Gets!
Known by all, the Les Gets Bike Park is the central spot.
The Les Gets circuit had planned to remain fully open until the Mountain Bike World Cup on September 19th & 20th 2020. However with recent news of the event being cancelled the resort has now announced new opening dates for the end of the summer season.
The Les Gets Bike Park September Opening Dates
- The Les Gets Bike Park will remain fully open for bikes until the 6th September.
- After, weekends only 12th-13th September, and 19th-20th September.
One big positive we can take from this, is super quiet trails. With no World Cup, you will be able to enjoy the Les Gets trails at their quietest!
But what else does Les Gets have to offer?
The BIG bonus for Les Gets (in my opinion), is the beautiful views of Mont Blanc which you get from the mountains. Hiking and Trail Running in Les Gets always means an incredible view, from Sunrise to Sunset.

The Les Gets lake is another personal top for me. The inflatable park is SO MUCH fun and the lake is lovely and clean. A cycle to Les Gets lake for a swim is a really nice morning! This lake is super clean, kid friendly and a great place to spend the day.
You can’t visit Les Gets without a trip to Mont Chery. The Tour du Mont Chery is a great walk or run and this lake is a hidden gem along the way! I’ve always loved walking in the countryside and Mont Chery really is a beautiful place to explore.

It’s lovely to see Les Gets back open for summer, when I’m massaging at chalets throughout the village there is always something going on when I make the journey to and from work!
